Palace, Hull & Stoke Supposedly Interested In Signing QPR Defender?

A report in today’s Daily Mirror claims that Crystal Palace, Hull and Stoke City are all interested in signing QPR defender Nedum Onouha ahead of the Hoops’ imminent relegation to the Championship.

The former Manchester City man, now 28, has another year to run on his current contract but is apparently almost certain to leave Loftus Road in the next few months, with a fee of £2 million being seen by most as enough to force QPR’s hand.

With Palace having mathematically secured their place in the top fight for another season yesterday, despite losing their fourth consecutive game at the hands of Manchester United, Alan Pardew’s side now represent a feasible option for any player looking to put down solid roots in the Premier League, regardless of completion from elsewhere.

Despite Palace’s potential interest, Mark Hughes’ Stoke side are likely to move ahead of us in the pecking order if they are serious about a deal, with the current Potters boss having worked with Onouha at Manchester City a few years ago.

Whilst a move to Selhurst Park would mean a complete change of lifestyle for the defender, a switch to the Britannia Stadium would require far less upheaval on a personal level, and consequently, may convince him to join Hughes over ourselves.
