Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guedioura could well be on the way out of the club in the next few days, with QPR boss Chris Ramsey having confirmed that he is hoping to sign the Algerian international.
Adlene has struggled for regular game time ever since joining the club in the summer of 2013, despite performing relatively well whenever he has been called upon, with the strength in depth of the Palace midfield having acted as a serious barrier to him ever getting a decent run of games at Selhurst Park.
Last season saw the former Forest man enjoy a fruitful spell on loan at Watford, with whom he had been looking to secure a permanent deal following their promotion to the Premier League, but with yet another new manager in place at Vicarage Road, his hopes of making his stay there permanent appear to have hit the skids.
With QPR having swapped places with the Hornets in May, they will now be looking to build a squad that is better equipped to deal with the challenges of the top flight should they manage to make an immediate return, with Guedioura clearly viewed as a big part of that puzzle by current Hoops’ boss Ramsey.
Although there are plenty at Selhurst Park who would like to keep hold of the imposing midfielder, his lack of appearances, coupled with the wide variety of options currently available to Alan Pardew in the middle of the field has led to the boss giving his blessing for Adlene to move on during the current transfer window.
Should there be any official word over his immediate future, it will be covered by HLTCO as soon as possible.
