Palace, Hull & Stoke Supposedly Interested In Signing QPR Defender?

A report in today’s Daily Mirror claims that Crystal Palace, Hull and Stoke City are all interested in signing QPR defender Nedum Onouha ahead of the Hoops’ imminent relegation to the Championship.

The former Manchester City man, now 28, has another year to run on his current contract but is apparently almost certain to leave Loftus Road in the next few months, with a fee of £2 million being seen by most as enough to force QPR’s hand.

With Palace having mathematically secured their place in the top fight for another season yesterday, despite losing their fourth consecutive game at the hands of Manchester United, Alan Pardew’s side now represent a feasible option for any player looking to put down solid roots in the Premier League, regardless of completion from elsewhere.

Despite Palace’s potential interest, Mark Hughes’ Stoke side are likely to move ahead of us in the pecking order if they are serious about a deal, with the current Potters boss having worked with Onouha at Manchester City a few years ago.

Whilst a move to Selhurst Park would mean a complete change of lifestyle for the defender, a switch to the Britannia Stadium would require far less upheaval on a personal level, and consequently, may convince him to join Hughes over ourselves.

VIDEO: Watch Murray & Zaha’s Stoke Goals From The Stands

As always, PalaceFanTV have uploaded their footage from our most recent game, capturing the fans’ reaction to both Glenn Murray’s penalty and Wilfried Zaha’s winner perfectly.

On a day when Palace secured their sixth away win in seven games under Alan Pardew, our supporters were in fine voice, having sold out the 2,900 allocation given to us by Stoke in rapid fashion.

With the sun shining and Pardew’s tactics working perfectly, the players ground out another massive three points to keep us 11 clear of the bottom three with just eight games left to play, all but securing our status in the Premier League for another season with nearly two months to spare.

If you weren’t able to make it to the Britannia Stadium for the game itself, this video is as close as you can get to having been there; if you were, why not spend a few minutes of your Monday evening re-living it? There are far worse ways to spend 10 minutes…
